As I reported earlier, Tracy Lawrence is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 18. That hasn’t changed. He will be there. And I’m glad. I’ve never seen him in concert, but I really like him, and I’m really looking forward to the concert.
Josh Gracin will take the stage on Tuesday, Aug. 19. He’s another one I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing yet. This photo of him was taken in Greeneville, by Brittany Johnson.
Wednesday night, Aug. 20, Jake Owen! Get ready for that one. Jake is a fantastic entertainer, and I know that’s going to be a great show.
Aug. 21, we’ll see our only solo female performer at this year’s fair with Heidi Newfield, formerly of Trick Pony. She was good when she was with TP… and everyone at the Appalachian Fair the year they performed really had a fun time at that show. I’ve never seen her solo act, so I’m looking forward to that.
Friday, Aug. 22, will be Chris Young. You might remember Chris from the first season (or maybe second), of Nashville Star. Chris is the only one that is not confirmed, according to the Appalachian Fair office (and my friend’s phone call to them today).
The last night, Saturday, Aug. 23, will be the group Jypsi. That has been on the fair’s schedule almost since the beginning. And I can’t tell you guys enough … Give this group a chance! I’m sure you will love them as much as I do. They’ve only released one single so far, “I don’t love you like that,” but they have a lot of fantastic songs … and again, my personal favorite, “Stray Dogs and Alley Cats.”
The general seating price is included with the admission to the fair; and reserved seating is available for $7 for Tracy and Josh; and $5 for each of the other four nights.
That’s it – as of now. And, I hope this will be the final listing for this year’s fair. I plan on going every night – I hope I’ll see a lot of you there, too! Take a minute, drop me a line, or add a comment, and keep reading! You guys are great!
