Jason Michael Carroll, Artisa recording artist, recently kicked off a two-month summer campaign to raise awareness and funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee. He performed May 14 at a poolside dinner for business and community leaders from Sumner, Wilson, Troutsdale and Smith Counties.
This photograph, however, was taken Wednesday, June 4, at the fair in Wise, Va., and was taken by Brittany Johnson. Thanks, Brittany, the photos are great!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Jason Michael Carroll, his debut release “Waitin’ In the Country” landed at the top of the U.S. country charts when it was released in 2007, and quickly secured two back-to-back Top 5 hits with his self-penned singles, “Alyssa Lies” and “Livin’ Our Love Song.”
Jason is a native of North Carolina and had the best selling album debut by a male country singer in 15 years – and also became Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of 2007 and R&R New Country Male of the Year.
His current single, “I Can Sleep When I’m Dead,” is presently among the Top 30 country singles and still climbing up the charts. Carroll also wrote that one! He’s proven that he’s not only an established entertainer, but a fantastic writer as well. The video for “I Can Sleep Wen I’m Dead” is showing on CMT and GAC video networks.
Carroll has toured with some of the country’s top performers, including Trace Adkins, Brooks and Dunn and Alan Jackson. He is scheduled to perform with Brad Pasley later in June, and will join Carrie Underwood on select concert dates.
You can check out all of Jason’s tour dates on his web site. And, thanks again to Brittany for all of these great photos from last night’s fair in Wise.
Now the rest of you … it’s concert time! Please e-mail me a shot or two from any concerts you attend, I’d love to get them posted here for you.
