I got two e-mails today, one from Nick Nicholson’s manager, and the other from Daniel Lee Martin’s management. They both wanted to tell me about the next issue of Country Weekly Magazine, which is due out today. It’s the Oct. 6, 2008 issue, and has Kenny Chesney on the cover. Both of these great country singers will be included in the Listen Up! section of the magazine.
Those of you who have been reading Country’s Chatter since it started may remember me introducing you all to Nick back in March.
Nick is a Northeast Tennessee native, currently residing in Arizona.
I visit Nick’s MySpace page often. He’s got some great music on there, and I know you will all enjoy it. The e-mail from his management also said there is a "free download" included in the Listen Up! section of Country Weekly. My favorite song of Nicks is "Something, Something." Go listen to his music, let me know what you guys thing.
Daniel Lee Martin, who I’ve included in Country’s Chatter on several occasions, performed at Freedom Hall in Johnson City, Tenn., back in May, when he opened for Joe Diffie. He put on a great show. And he’s a very likeable person. He was very nice to talk to, and didn’t mind spending a lot of time with his fans. I’m glad to see that Country Weekly will be including him, too. I also put in a little piece about him back in June when he won Field and Stream Magazine’s Total Outdoorsman Challenge.
Please pop on over to Daniel Lee’s home page to listen to some of his music, and find out more about this country entertainer. His second single, "Roll On By," from his album "On My Way To You," can be heard by clicking here.
I had a long, busy day at the office, so that’s going to do it for tonight. Don’t forget to pick up your copy of Country Weekly Magazine. They’re sold just about everywhere. And remember, the one you’re looking for right now is the Oct. 6 issue, on sale Sept. 22.
I know all of you stay busy too, but remember to drop me a line whenever you have time. You can e-mail, or post a comment to any blog entry. Just click on the "About" link at the top of Country’s Chatter. That will send you to the page where you can read a little about me, and add a comment, suggestion, article idea … just anything you’d like to say. I’ll talk to you all tomorrow!
