Cowboy Troy did a show on Aug. 10, 2008, at Capone’s in downtown Johnson City. And for those of us who missed it, the Cowboy will be back in town on Saturday, Nov. 7, to do it again! Thanks to Marc Tragler from WXBQ for these photos of Cowboy Troy taken at that event.
Troy will be in Bluefield, W.Va., on Oct. 24 and 25, for the Cowboy Up Fan Appreciation Dinner; Halloween night will find him in Columbus, Mo., at Cody’s Saloon; and he will follow that performance with a show at the Gallatin Civic Center on Nov. 1.
Probably best remembered for his single, "I Played Chicken with a Train," Cowboy Troy seems to keep himself busy with shows all across the country. You can hear some of his other songs by going to his web site. (Remember, readers, anytime I have something in blue in my articles, clicking on it should take you to their web page. And, if it doesn’t, please let me know.)
The photo at the right is Troy with George, the owner of Capones in Johnson City.
Thanks again, Tragler, for letting me use these photos from Capones.
The three winners, each of whom will receive one copy of the CD, donated by Universal Music Distributors, are: Reeva Morgan, Fort Washington, Maryland; Denise Donelson, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; and Victoria Kondovski, Lasalle, Ontario, Canada. Congratulations to the winners. Your CDs will be mailed directly to you from Universal.
That’s all for tonight. Thanks again to everyone for entering the contest. Keep reading, I hope to have another contest of some kind in the very near future. And thanks everyone for the e-mails and photos you’ve been sending! It’s great hearing form you all.
