Tonight’s post serves two purposes – the first to wish Ronnie Milsap a speedy recovery, and the second to correct an error I made last night. So to you, Ronnie, I hope your illness isn’t serious, and that you will be back on stage in no time at all.
In my Oct. 28 entry, titled "Paisley on TV, Milsap in Nashville, Bucky’s success, Presley’s Cd & Faith’s book," I mentioned that Ronnie Milsap performed at the second annual Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum Award Show at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
I received a very nice message from Kay at the Musicians Hall of Fame, and she informed me that Ronnie had to cancel his appearance due to illness. I wanted to apologize to everyone for that error, and to let you all know that he did not get to entertain at that event.
In Ronnie’s absence, Randy Houser stepped in to fill the empty spot in the entertainment line-up. Randy’s debut single is still moving up the country charts, and the CD is scheduled for release on Nov. 18. Hope you will all check Randy’s web site to keep up with his touring schedule, and get a sneak preview of some of the songs on his new CD.
Here’s something I haven’t done for a while – so let’s give a quick Happy Birthday shout out to Lee Greenwood, who celebrated his birthday Oct. 27, and Charlie Daniels, Oct. 28; Kassidy Osborne, from the group SHeDAISY, Oct. 30; Darryl Worley, Oct. 31; Big Kenny (Alphin), from Big & Rich,Bill Anderson and Lyle Lovett, all on Nov. 1, and K.D. Lang on Nov. 2.
That’s all for now! Thanks again, Kay, for bringing that error to my attention. And to all of you who are kind enough to take a minute and write from time to time, I not only appreciate the photos you send, the ideas for articles, and the comments, but please remember too, that if I make a mistake, or get some incorrect information, I want to you write and let me know, so I can make it right. I appreciate all the mail, and look forward to hearing from you all soon. More later!
