The Eli Young Band has been nominated for Yahoo’s Who’s Next. They are one of the few country acts ever to get nominated for this award. These guys have got the best sound I’ve heard in a long time, and I know they have a lot of fans out there.

Local deejay, Reggie Neel, said today on WXBQ, that LeeAnn Rimes has canceled two more shows. It seems LeAnn is suffering from tonsilitis, and it has been a recurring problem for her.
Her web site posted the following information: We are saddened to confirm that LeAnn Rimes will be rescheduling her shows this weekend in Norfolk (10/10) and Charleston (10/11) for her 2009 Tour. Her voice doctor has advised immediate vocal rest. LeAnn looks forward to resuming her current schedule on October 17 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Wednesday, Oct. 8, was officially Luke Bryan Day in Lee County, Ga. Luke returned to his home town of Leesburg to perform a benefit concert for the YMCA of Albany, Ga., and while performing he was given the key to the city, and it was officially declared that Oct. 8 would be Luke Bryan Day. The presentation was made while Luke was giving a short concert to third, fourth and fifth grade students at Lee County Elementary School.
"It’s great to have a hometown boy come out on top and come back," Lee Branch YMCA Director Judy Powell said. "We all love him."
