I have a friend, who has got to be the biggest Bucky Covington fan ever! She lives in Elizabethton, Tenn., and recently drove with her husband to Florida, to see Bucky – two nights in a row. She’s a great lady, and a very good friend, and she said I could take a few of her pictures from her MySpace page and share them with you here. I’m happy to do that. And, since Lisa was the one who got to go to the shows – I’m going to let you read what she had to say about it.
I think this is the 13th and 14th time she has seen Bucky in concert. The people I’ve seen in concert most were probably Alabama three times and Trace Adkins three times. I’ve seen a bunch of them twice, and countless numbers just once — but there is no one I have ever seen 14 times. Way to go Lisa. You should win a prize or something. Here’s what Lisa had to say about the shows.
"I had a fabulous time. The shows were both awesome. I just love Bucky and the band more and more. I was able to talk with Bucky and Rocky both, as well as some of the other band members the first night, and Bucky and some of the members the second night as well. I also got a chance to introduce some to my husband. They thanked him for "driving me or whatever it is he does", and I laughed and said "He supports my habit"!!!!! My Bucky habit that is!
At the first show in Jensen, the stage was very tall, I got there a couple of hours before the show was to take place and could have had front row if I wanted, but you could see nothing but the stage, so I walked back and found that ninth row center stage would be my best spot to be able to see everyone on the stage. I met lots of fan club members on this trip, and they are all awesome.
The next night took place in Sanford, Fl, at a place called The Barn which is a country western bar, and is about 100 years old, and a lot of country music artist have played there over the years, such as Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Ricky Van Shelton,John Conlee, to just name a few.
I was front and center at this one, and Bucky really put on a great show with lots of energy. My only complaint, I waited months to make this trip, and both shows come and went in a matter of hours. I am so glad I went though, as new dates are being added to the tour schedule, it looks like Bucky may not be around here for a while, but will find him out west a lot, so anyone reading this, if you have not been to a Bucky show, you need to go at least once,it is so fun and worth the time and money!
You are more than welcome, Lisa. I know you have a great time at these shows, and I’m glad you are willing to share it with my readers. Hope you don’t mind that I put one of Rocky over there at the left… Wouldn’t want the cute twin to feel left out.
That’s all for now, I hope everyone had a great weekend…and now we’re all rested up and ready to go back to work – right? Not really. But at least it’s a short week! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Turkey-Day… I’m off Friday, too.
Please let me hear from you all soon. And if you have pictures or concert stories to share, let me know! I’d love to get them up for you.Talk to you guys real soon! Take care!
