I’ve seen Trent Tomlinson in concert three times now. That boy sure likes to take his shirt off. But I didn’t hear anyone complaining about it. Trent released a new single, “That’s How It Still Oughta Be,” on Dec. 22 – available for digital download via Play MPE. And, he is now recording for Carolwood Records, a part of Disney Music Group.
“We are really excited about this new music and Trent’s move to Carolwood Records allows us to get his music out sooner,” says Lyric Street and Carolwood VP National Promotion Kevin Herring. “With the great early feedback we’ve been getting from radio and the timeliness of the song’s subject we felt it imperative to make this move. The Carolwood staff is really excited to have Trent on the roster.”
Trent was the best selling debut male in 2006, releasing three consecutive hit singles from his first CD, Country Is My Rock. My favorite, “One Wing in the Fire.”
A few concerts on Trent’s schedule are going to take him places he better keep his shirt on… On Dec. 3, he will be in Snoquaimie, Wash., at the Snoquaimie Casino; Dec. 31, he moves over to Missouri, for an 8 p.m. show at Whiskey Tango in Grain Valley; Jan. 16 will find him at Prairie Capital Civic Center in Springfield, Ill., Jan. 17, in St. Charles, Ill. for a concert at Pheasant Run Resort, and Feb. 6, in Minneapolis, Minn., at Trocaderos Night Club.
