george_jones_1 If you find you actually have any time to sit around and watch television this week, there are a few places you can catch your favorite country artists – places like CBS, ABC, NBC … and of course if they aren’t there you can always flip the channel to CMT or GAC and catch them there.

George Jones kicked off the week of television appearances this morning with an appearance on the CBS Early Show. The Grascals will be performing on the Style Networks Martha Stewart ‘Wedding special, Gorgeous and Green. That one will air both Thursday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Dec. 26.

grascals If you missed George Jones this morning, you can catch him again on Dec. 30, when he will be honored at the 31st annual Kennedy Center Honors. This one is a 2-hour special on CBS. It will be aired in prime-time, so check your local listings for the time.

And everyone has a New Year’s Eve party on television. I guess they do that for the old folks like me, who just don’t get out and party that much anymore.smile_teeth Chuck Wicks and LoCash Cowboys will perform on the Fox News Channel Party New Years Eve Special on Dec. 31.

Chuck10 3 Doors Down and Lynyrd Skynrd will be on CNN’s New Year’s Eve Special hosted by Anderson ‘Cooper and Kathy Griffin.

It’s Christmas Eve. And I know  how busy we all are – but between baking little gingerbread people, putting the big red bow on that last gift, and making sure the cat hasn’t knocked any more ornaments off the tree – you might be able to find a few minutes with a cup of spiced cider, to sit down and watch a little television. If you do – here are a few things you might want to turn on.
