I know just about everyone listens to music, other than country, from time to time. But I was kind of surprised see that the CD Chris Young listens to most in his car is Hollywood Hal & Rhinestone Al: Greatest Hits. In the Country Weekly brief, Chris stopped by WYNK radio in Baton Rouge, La., to show the CD to the guys at the station. But, I can’t help wonder if he really listens to it a lot, or if he just wanted Scott Innes to think that he does – since Scott does the voice of the character Hollywood Hal.
I suppose it’s more than possible that Chris actually does listen to the CD, since he “knows every Hal and Al song by heart,” he said to Country Weekly. (You’ll find this in the special year-end issue of Country Weekly, dated Jan. 12, 2009).
You can learn more about Hal & Al, and order their CD’s (they even have a Christmas one), by clicking here. By the way, Chris will be releasing his new CD sometime in the spring. Keep an eye out for a release date on that one. Any of you in the Las Vegas area will be able to catch Chris on Jan. 9.
I recently found an article about Henry Grant, in one of my RSS feeds. He is from Enid, Okla., but now lives in Nashville, and is working under the name Hank Grant.
Hank still hasn’t released his first album, but he has a lot of his music on both his home page and his MySpace page, and as you might guess- a lot of information about this talented country singer can be found there as well.
Even though he hasn’t had a record released as yet, he recently won a competition that put one of his songs in the soundtrack of a movie, which will be released in theaters Feb. 28. The movie is called “Like Dandelion Dust.”
You can get the full story by reading the story by Bridgett Nash in Enid News.
Talk to you all soon.
