This show is a fund raiser for the W.O. Smith Nashville Community School. The program is dedicated to giving underprivileged children the opportunity to receive music lessons. I love fund raisers – the tickets are usually reasonably priced, and you know the proceeds are going to a good cause.
Dolly is scheduled to sing “I will Always Love You, and “9 to 5”, and I believe a few others. “I Will Always Love You” was the No. 1 song on the 100 Greatest Love Songs list, and “9 to 5” won her two Grammy Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Vocal Performance by a Female.
Tickets for this event start at $45 and are available at TicketMaster.
Even though this is a Monday night event, I don’t think they will have a bit of trouble selling out. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 24. I’ve been writing a lot about Nashville lately, I think it’s almost time for me to plan a little trip. I’m ready for a weekend in Nashville!
I have four fantastic entertainers pictures in this post, now let’s pick a video for one of then…. I’ve looked at a bunch, this one wins. Take it away, Kellie.
And I’m off again. I’m going to answer mail again tonight … and I’ll talk to all of you later!
