fire The 10,000 sq. ft. home in Hendersonville, Tenn., was destroyed by fire Sunday night. The home had been occupied by the late Tammy Wynette, during her divorce from George Jones.

TammyWynette The home was originally built in 1963 for the late singer Roy Orbison. According to WSMV-TV, the house was already in flames when firefighters arrived on Sunday night. The neighbor said the roof caved in on it. She said she never knew Tammy personally, but that tour buses would warm up in front of the house in the winter.

Fire crews are investigating the cause of the blaze, but arson is not suspected.

George jones 1 Since we mentioned George Jones in this post, I need to remind everyone in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina that there are still tickets available for his Feb. 7 show at Viking Hall in Bristol.

This photo is from one of his previous concerts at Viking Hall. The opening act for the Jones show will be Conway Twitty. As I understand it, it’s at least part of Conway Twitty the musical, which had been playing in Nashville. (Not sure if it was anywhere else).

Now, I just can’t leave this one without a little music from the late, great Tammy Wynette.

I’ll talk to you all soon. Thanks for reading, thanks for writing!
Love you guys!
