Ray Price is inviting you to his 83rd birthday party! Yep, all of you. The event is open to the public, and will be held on Monday, Jan. 12, at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and Tex Ritter Museum.

Ray is still touring actively, and a few years ago he released the single “Last of the Breed,” with Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson.

Any Ray Price fans who haven’t done so will want to visit his Official Fan Club site. The site has stories, articles, photographs, biographies, and music. When you visit, plan on spending a lot of time checking out this great site.

James otto new James Otto recently had shoulder surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. I had that surgery a number of years ago – and all I can say is that I hope James does as well with his as I did with mine. I did so well with mine, that I didn’t even have to go to physical therapy afterwards.

James is a real trooper though – and in a blog on his MySpace page, he wrote the following.

January 5, 2009 – Monday

Shoulder Surgery!

I haven’t told anybody cause I didn’t want you to worry…. But I’m going under the knife today to repair a torn rotator cuff & remove the bone spurs that caused it. I wont be canceling any shows but could be in a sling for a few. I should recover pretty quickly but will require 6 weeks of physical therapy. There are lots of exciting things this year and I need to be at full strength to accomplish them all. I love you all and will see you on the road soon.

Thanks for blogging, James – I for one am a huge fan of blogging! I think it’s great our country artists are keeping us informed and up-to-date on what’s happening inj their world. Hope you’re feeling better real soon, James.

That’s all for now – talk to you all real soon.
