I wanted to get something up here today about Matt Stillwell at Capone’s in Johnson City on Valentine’s Day. And, I’d like to share a bunch of photos with you guys. Photos of Matt, his band members (Brett Smith, drums; Justin Butler, guitar; Paul Laws, bass; and Bryan Arrowood, fiddle and Mandolin). And this post just wouldn’t be complete without putting up some pictures of some of the great folks I met at Capone’s on Saturday night.
Capone’s is a bar/club in downtown Johnson City. It has a nice little dance floor, and a great stage. Everyone there seemed to enjoy Matt’s music, and I’m sure I’ll be talking a lot more about him in the months to come. His song “Shine” is currently being played on our local radio station, and if it isn’t on the air where you are yet, you might want to call and request it. (I had the video up on here a few days ago, and his MySpace page has some of his other songs you can listen to there.)
Matt and the band members were super nice – autograph signing was a part of the evening, as well as posing for pictures with fans, and singing one song after the next, without ever taking a break. I know all the people who came out to dance and listen to Matt’s music definitely had a great time.
I think I got a little carried away with the pictures – but as I’m sure you can tell, everyone really had a good time at the Capone’s. And with that many photos, I don’t think I’ll put up the video again. You can see it on My Feb. 12 post, and you can hear some of Matt’s other great music on his MySpace page.
I’ll talk to you guys soon. Thanks for the e-mails. I’m about to go answer them so you’ll be hearing from me soon.
