For the past several months, I’ve been telling you about LeAnn being in Canada for the filming of Northern Lights. And LeAnn even blogged about it on her MySpace page. The movie is now finished, and will be airing on Lifetime on Saturday, March 21, at 8 p.m., with encores March 22 at 8 p.m., and March 24 at 9 p.m.
The movie is based on the novel Northern Lights by Nora Roberts, and is the first of four Nora Roberts books that have been turned into movies for Lifetime. They will premier four Saturday nights in a row, beginning with Northern Lights.
In addition to her movie and recording, LeAnn has quite a few dates up on her calendar this spring. She’s even doing the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. on May 5. She will be in Thackersville, Okla., at the WinStar Casino ShowPlace Theatre on May 8, and then down to Jacksonville, Fla., on May 15, for a performance at Metropolitan Park.
LeAnn has some concert dates posted through Oct. 3,2009, that one at Morton H. Meverson Symphony Center in Dallas. And she will be pretty much all over the U.S. during the next seven months. I’m sure they will be adding even more dates to that schedule in the weeks to come.
Information about the movie on Lifetime’s web page, says: Former Baltimore policeman Nate Burns was hoping to start a new life by accepting the job of chief of police in the town of Lunacy, Alaska. He escapes to the small, remote town in an effort to forget the traumatic death of his partner, for which he holds himself partially responsible. But the moment he meets Meg Galligan, an independent and feisty bush pilot with her own demons, he finds himself falling for her. The town is rocked when the body of Meg’s father, a man who Meg believed had abandoned her and her mother Charlene 16 years ago, turns up in a mountain cave. Nate finds himself in the middle of a high-profile murder investigation and quickly learns the killer is someone in the community. Nate must use his big-city survival instincts to solve the mystery that threatens his new life and new love.
A little peek at Northern Lights from Lifetime’s web page. I’ve already got it marked on my calendar. I’m sure it will be great.
I’ll talk to you all soon. I’ve got to get to the office. Have a great day. Just try to ignore the fact that it’s Monday, and it’s raining. Write when you can!
