Rascal Flatts new CD, “Unstoppable", will be in stores on April 7. but with any good marketing program, anyone interested in buying this (which is probably every country music fan out there), can pre-order at Amazon.com. And the pre-order price is $9.99 instead of $18.99.
This is the CD with the cover chosen by fans. There were four covers for fans to choose from, and this is the one we picked. I always thought it was a little dark for this group. They’re so upbeat, and always fun. They don’t look like much fun in this picture. They aren’t smiling. I’m sitting here scratching my head going, “did we REALLY pick that one?”.
What’s on the inside of the CD will more than make up for the cover (that you might like, but I’m not crazy about). The 11 songs are Love Who You Love, Here Comes Goodbye, Close, Forever, She’d Be California, Unstoppable, things That Matter, Summer Nights, Holdin’ On, Once and Why. I think we’re going to see more than one hit come off of this CD.
I saw Rascal Flatts a few years ago in Johnson City, Tenn. I’m ready to see them again. But looking at their concert schedule on their web page, I guess that won’t happen for a while. After their March 14 show in Irvine, Calif., they don’t have anything scheduled until June 5. That show is in St. Louis,Mo. And the closest thing I see to my area isn’t happening until Aug. 1, in Charlotte, N.C.
I just need to mention this, cause sometimes I’m a little slow at figuring things out – But, when I was watching an episode of The Crib on CMT, it dawned on me that James Otto’s wife, Amy, is Allison DeMarcus’ sister. Which means Allison is James Otto’s sister-in-law, and Amy is Jay DeMarcus’s sister-in-law. (I wouldn’t mind being an”in-law” in that group.) Both of these girls were Miss Tennessee contestants. I’m depending on memory here, but I know Allison won the Miss Tennessee title and a shot at Miss America. I don’t believe Amy won the state title her year. I met Allison in Jackson, Tenn., during her pageant competition. I wonder if she remembers me.

That’s all for now. It is a beautiful day here in Northeast Tennessee! I’m about to hope in the shower, and then in the car … and I don’t even know where I’m going. I’ll take the camera, probably find some goats or something to take a picture of. (I love those little animals). And I’ll talk to you guys later! Have a great Saturday!
