Eli Young Band has been referred to as the group with the fastest growing fan base of all emerging acts in the Southeast and Southwest. Press releases tell us they have been “turning heads with high-energy performances and a string of sold out shows in the last year.”
Since I first heard “When It Rains", my name has definitely been added to their list of fans. I love that song. I listen to their CD a lot, and I’m looking forward to seeing them this summer. While I don’t have the “exact, confirmed, this is definitely it” schedule for our Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn., this August – I have heard that Eli Young Band will be at the fair on Tuesday night, Aug. 25.
So guys, if you’re reading this – keep in mind that Gray, Tenn. is right in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains – and be careful with that trailer hitch. Here is a clip from YouTube that shows you what can happen if you don’t keep an eye on your equipment. Glad everything worked out ok for EYB this time.
Band members are Mike Eli, vocalist; James Young, guitarist; Jon Jones, bass player; and Chris Thompson, drums.
In addition to doing their own shows, the guys are certainly getting a lot of exposure opening for some of country music’s biggest entertainers. They will be with Alan Jackson at the Ford Pavilion in Beaumont, Texas on May 17; and Kenny Chesney at Heinz Field, Coca-Cola Great Hall Stage in Pittsburgh, Pa., on June 6.
I’m sure this is going to be a great show, and I really hope all the fans in the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia area will come out and support this great group.
Since I already told you how much I love the song, “When It Rains,” here it is for you!
It’s Monday, I had better get to the office. I’ll talk to you all real soon! Have a good Monday!
