Jack I Jack Ingram was home in Texas a few weeks ago, where he sang the National Anthem for game three of the NBA Southern Conference Semifinals. That game (played on May 6) had his hometown Dallas Mavericks playing against the Denver Nuggets.

The Nuggets won that game, 106-105, (sorry, Jack)… but I think Jack did a great job with his acoustic National Anthem! Didn’t see it? Check out the video below.

What has Jack got planned for the very near future? How about a little acting. Why not… after all, it’s not like we haven’t seen some of our other favorite country singers on the big screen – and I for one liked seeing Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, and even Dwight Yoakam (he had a little role in Four Christmases) up there.

Ok, maybe Jack isn’t headed for the “big” screen, but you will be able to catch him on the little screen in your family room sometime this August. Jack is currently on an episode of Lifetime Network’s show, "Army Wives.” The exact air date hasn’t been released yet, and while this is not a show I watch on a regular basis, I’ll be sure to mark that air date in red, just as soon as it’s released.

Jack Ingram Have you ever seen Jack in concert? I had that pleasure the year before last, when he was at one of our local fairs. And if he ever gets anywhere near me again, you can bet I’ll be there! He put on a great show. Talk about pitching out guitar picks! I should have tried to count how many he tossed out to the crowd that night, because it was a truckload!

Now, if you want your chance to catch a pick or two, or if you want to go see a fantastic show… here are some of the places you can catch Jack. He’s doing to be in Fort Worth, Texas on the 24th of May, at Wolf Dance at the Stockyards; May 29, he will be at Big Texas Dance Hall in Spring, Texas; and on June 13, he moves over to Tyler Texas to perform at the 2009 Tyler Cattle Baron’s Gala.

He’s not done with Texas yet, after a June 19 concert at Country Fever Music Fest in Pryor, Okla., he will head back to Texas on June 20, to do the Holland Corn Festival, in Holland, Texas. He has Ohio, Wisconsin and Kansas to carry him through June,  with shows in Texas, Wisconsin, Missouri and Nebraska in July. Be sure to head on over to his web site for a complete his of his upcoming shows.

Time for me to run. But before I go, have a look at what some celebrities seem to enjoy doing when they have a little extra time and a video camera. Here’s Jack Ingram and Julianne Hough with their version of American IDLE.

Fun time is over. I need to head to work. Talk to you all real soon. Keep those e-mails coming!
