Josh Gracin has a new song, “Enough,” on his MySpace page. He put it up on Friday, May 1. Josh wrote the song, and Dean Sams, from Lonestar, helped co-produce it. Josh also said in his blog entry that this is the first project he’s worked on since leaving Lyric Street Records, confirming what we’ve been hearing for a while now – that he is no longer with his label. He’s been with Lyric Street since his 2003 American Idol appearance.
His second album was released in 2008, and that one included his top 10 hit, “We Weren’t Crazy.”
You need to go to his MySpace, and check out “Enough”. It’s a good song. I hope it get some airplay. Of course there’s a list of show dates on his MySpace page, too. And he’s got a lot of them! He has them up through the end of September. I can tell you from personal experience, that this man puts on one super show.
I guess I don’t know enough about the music business, because I really can’t understand why someone would be released from their label when they’re putting out hit records. I really hope Josh ends up on another label really soon, and that he doesn’t just disappear into music history – like singers often do when they become ‘label-less.” I’d love to get this guy back in our area. He was one of the the many entertainers I’ve had the opportunity to see in concert who really plays to his audience. He doesn’t just stand there and sing – he makes you know that he really wants to be there, singing for you.
In an Aug. 20, 2008, post here on Country’s Chatter (Josh Gracin in Gray, TN), I told you all about the fantastic show he put on at the Appalachian Fair, and the way he treated his fans. He was so nice, to everyone, and really went out of his way to make sure his visit to northeast Tennessee was a great experience for every fan who showed up to see him. If you didn’t ready that article, click on August 2008 in the archives list at the right – we’ve got some great pictures of Josh up there, too.
Before I head out this morning, I just want to tell you all that we had a fantastic show here in Erwin, Tenn., last night – with Randy Houser and Matt Stillwell at our local high school in a benefit concert for our Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. The show was wonderful, the guys were really great with the audience and the fans, and we were all so very appreciative to have them here to help us with our fund raising efforts. I don’t have those photos downloaded yet, but as soon as I get a chance, I’ll take get them up here for you all.
And, here’s a little Josh Gracin for you guys.
I have to get to the office. I’ll talk to you all soon!
