Last night, Arista recording artists, Jypsi, took the stage at Kingsport’s Free Concert Series. I talked to them quite a bit after the show, and they told me they are currently recording an album, and I think Amber-Dawn said the first single from that will be released in July… but I’m not sure. That’s what happens when I trust information to my memory instead of writing it down. But I’ll check on that.
You probably remember this group best for “I Don’t Love You Like That,” a song that was played on national radio about a year ago. I loved that song. But my favorite Jypsi song will always be “Stray Dogs,” also from their first album.
This concert series is supposed to be an outdoor event, but with a more than serious threat of thunder storms, the concert was moved inside to the Bus Pit. That was a great place. And I know everyone had a really good time. I’ll tell you more about the concert, and put more pictures up here soon. But it was a late night, and I have to get to the office right now.
After the show in Kingsport, the kids were headed back to Nashville for more events at the CMA Music Festival. They will do Jypsi Fest tonight (June 12), at the Limelight, 201 Woodland St., Nashville. This is a free event, from 6-8 p.m.
So for now, here are a few more pictures form last night’s show. I’ll get more up here for you soon. There were a lot of super people in the audience, and I have a number of pictures of Jypsi with some of their fans that I’d like to put up too. And, some shots of last night’s opening band, Copper Ridge.
That’s all for now. Have a good Friday, everybody. I’ll talk to you soon.
