I got a press release yesterday about David Nail. I’ve heard the name before – probably in a press release I didn’t do anything with. But when I got this release yesterday, with a great picture and some links that took me to his music, I thought it was time we all get to know this kid.
His single, “Red Light",” from MCA Nashville is the featured “Single of the Week,” on iTunes (beginning today, June 2). CMT is attaching themselves to David’s launch, posting a series of adventurous and humorous webisodes titled “Red Light Road Trip”, which documents the experiences of a new artist on the road. Stops include the University of Kentucky in Lexington, the Reds stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio and radio station visits and performances in Nashville and Austin, Texas. You can check out CMT’s Webisode #1 by clicking here. Webisode #2 is scheduled to premiere today.

If you like David, you definitely won’t be the only one. Taylor Swift posted on her Twitter last week, that her favorite new song is ‘”Red Light,” by David Nail. Now that’s pretty cool.
I went to David’s web site and listened to some of his music, and guys – it would be very hard for me to pick a favorite out of the songs on that page – I love them all. I think ”I’m About to Come Alive,” is fantastic. “Missouri” is great. And “Mississippi” is really, really good, too! And, I haven’t even told you what I think of the single, “Red Light”. Also fantastic. So get over there and listen to David Nail. I think you’re going to like him. (The photo at the right is from the video shoot for “I’m About to Come Alive,” in Chicago.)
Fans should also check out www.DiscoverDavidNail.com where multiple tracks from his forthcoming I’m About To Come Alive album can be downloaded, as well as free wallpaper options, interview footage, an interactive “Red Light” game and the opportunity to register to win a private performance in the fan’s hometown.
A posting on The Boot recently – Baseball fan (and former coach himself) David Nail chats with St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa before the Cards took on the Philadelphia Phillies. The Missouri-born singer threw out the first pitch at the game. (Photo and information from The Boot.)
Looks like the kid really likes baseball. That St. Louis/Philadelphia game wasn’t the only one he attended recently. He also sang at a May 21 Atlanta Braves game. I need to start going to professional baseball games.
Here’s a video form YouTube of David performing at KSON radio in San Diego, Calif.
I’m anxious to hear more about David. And when I do, you will, too. Better get going. You have a good day. Monday is behind us now … Hope you have a good Tuesday.
