On Saturday night, July 18, Rascal Flatts became the first country act to perform in concert at Wrigley Field in Chicago. They had a sell-out crowd (no surprise there), and had Vince Gill and Darius Rucker as concert guests.
This was a four-hour show, and included hits like My Wish, What Hurts The Most, Here Comes Goodbye, Bob The Head, and their current single, Summer Nights. Vince Gill came on stage part way through Rascal’s performance of Whenever You Come Around. Darius played with the boys during two of their finale songs, Hootie and the Blowfish’s Hold My Hand and Life is A Highway.
Rascal Flats has one more stadium tour on their American Living Unstoppable Tour, and that one will be at Crew Stadium in Columbus Ohio on Aug. 9. Other stops on the tour include July 23 Jacksonville, FL Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena; July 24 West Palm Beach, FL Cruzan Amphitheater; July 25 Tampa, FL Ford Amphitheater; July 31 Atlanta, GA

What else is going on in the world of the Rascal Flatts boys. How about this. They are the first country act to offer an iTunes Pass. With the purchase of a Rascal Flatts iTunes Pass, fans will receive automatic weekly downloads of never before released music every week during the summer. This will include live concert recordings, studio rehearsals and lost demos.
The first group of songs was released yesterday, and new content will be made available every Tuesday until Sept. 1. Some of the songs will include live recordings of I’m Movin’ On, Mayberry and Bless The Broken Road. There are a total of 28 Rascal Flatts recordings being released. So if you don’t have your iTunes Pass, you might want to grab a RF CD and a pass for this great offer.
One more piece of RF news for this morning … and this one pretty much falls into the category of “what else is going on outside of the world” with Rascal Flatts. The Associated Press reported yesterday that the crew members of the space station and Endeavour are waking up to Rascal Flatts’ song Life is A Highway. I think that’s a great wake-up song.
Here’s Rascal Flatts with Darius Rucker at Wrigley Field, with the finale’ – Hold My Hand, and Life is A Highway.
That’s all for now. Hope I got to everyone’s e-mail last night. And, I hope you will all write again real soon! I love mail. Talk to you all real soon!
