I haven’t said much about Kenny Chesney lately. He’s been busy, and as always he’s been in the news, on the concert stage, and on television. If you missed his Good Morning America concert on Friday, Aug. 14, I’ll start with that this morning. Here’s his “Out Last Night” performance from the morning show.
I don’t usually start my posts with videos, but since we have two from the Friday morning show (thanks, YouTube), I thought I’d get the interview one up as well. Then, I’ll move on to some more Kenny news for you guys.
I went on Kenny’s web site last night, and found out a little about No Shoes Radio.com – you can head over and give it a listen, here. And while I was there, I looked over his tour schedule.
Kenny is in Canada tonight and tomorrow, with shows in Ottawa and Toronto. Then he’s moving south to Detroit for a show at Ford Field on Aug. 22, and over to Syracuse, N.Y., for a State Fair show on Aug. 28. The folks in Bristow, Va., get to see him at the Nissan Pavilion on Aug. 29, and then he’s off to Raleigh, N.C. on Aug. 30. Mississippi, Florida, South Carolina, Illinois and Indiana will take him through Sept. 19, and from the looks of his schedule, none of the shows are sold out.
Anyone out there have any new information about Kenny and his “girlfriend”? A lot of the buzz about Kenny and former Miss Tennessee USA, Amy Colley, seems to have died down. But many web sites are still reporting that Kenny and Amy are an item. Amy is a native of Jonesborough, Tenn., and last we heard was working as a burn-unit nurse in a Nashville area hospital. I haven’t really seen anything new in print for a while now. But, I’m as curious as the next person.
What do you guys think of the Kenny’s song “I’m Alive,” with Dave Matthews? I was kind of surprised that those two actually did a song together. But I really like it. Our local radio station is playing it a lot, too.
I think I’d better end this for now. I have to get ready for work. You guys have a great Wednesday. I’ll talk to you all later. I plan on answering mail this evening, so if I owe you an e-mail, keep an eye on your mailbox.
