Creativity comes in a lot of different forms. For a country singer, it’s not necessarily the song, the performance, or even the elaborate concert stage that makes them creative. In the case of Keith Urban – he seems to find new ways to express his creativity every day.
You all remember me telling you about Keith’s Backstage Barbecue Experience. How awesome that must have been for all the fans who got to be a part of this little "”Meet, Greet & Eat Experience.”
I don’t know if the Barbecue thing is something we will have to look forward to at other Keith Urban shows, but I do know that every show is going to have something that is exclusively Keith.
The latest thing Keith did was find a way to get his autograph out to the fans sitting farthest away from the stage. He didn’t do that by running through the audience, or seeing how far he could toss an autographed tee shirt. He actually autographed tennis balls, and had them whacked out into the farthest areas so fans could catch them. How cool is that! Can you imagine the fans scrambling to pick up the tennis balls – or hopefully catch one in flight.
I also recently found out that an unauthorized biography of Keith Urban is now on sale. I haven’t read it yet, but you can check out a review at Country Music Tattle Tales. I certainly plan on reading it. One part of the review says: “I enjoyed reading most of the book. There are lots of details, especially career-related, that many Keith Urban fans may not know.” It’s a good review of what I believe will be very interesting reading.
Keith still has a lot shows on his schedule. Not just for 2009 either. He has them listed through at least mud-2010, with many more to be added, I’m sure. I looked over at the “Buy Tickets” column, as well as the “Win Tickets” column (there’s a place you can click to enter to win some), and they all seem to still have tickets available, so you might want to head over to the site and see how close Keith is coming to your back yard.
That’s all for now. Remember to write, and remember to follow Country’s Chatter on Twitter. I’ve really been having fun with that, and I appreciate all of you who are now following.
Talk to you soon!
