I told you guys a while back that Keith Urban would be headlining the Saturday night show Ft. Loramie, Ohio, at the 30th anniversary of Country Concert. Keith now has a few more shows up on his 2010 schedule, and I wanted to pass those on to all of you.
California can look forward to Keith’s show on April 24, at the Empire Polo Club. He will be in Baton Rouge, La., on May 29 for the Bayou Country Superfest. June 27 takes him to Grand Junction Colo., for Country Jam USA. He will be at Sarnia Rogers Bayfest in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada on July 15, and Sweet Home, Oregon at the Oregon Jamboree on July 30.
Canada gets him back on Aug. 1, when he visits Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. We all remember that windstorm at Big Valley Jamboree last year, that injured a few of our artists and killed one fan. Hopefully, things will go a lot better for the folks at Big Valley this year.
WE Fest 2010 will be in Detroit Lakes, Mich., on Aug. 5. And on Sept. 3, Keith will be in Allentown, Pa., at the Allentown Fair. The last show up on his schedule so far is in Essex, Vermont, at The Champlain Valley Exposition on Sept. 4.
I’m sure we’ll see a lot more dates coming up on Keith’s schedule real soon.
He is going to be in Australia for shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Wollongong from Dec. 12-19, 2009. And I’m sure everyone back in his home country is looking forward to those shows.
This close to Christmas, I can’t do a Keith Urban post without reminding you all about Keith’s merchandise. He has got something for everyone at affordable prices on his web site. Just head on over to Keith’s Official Merchandise page here.
Our reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year has also been nominated for two 2010 People’s Choice Awards – Favorite Male Vocalist and Favorite Country Artist. If you want to help Keith win these two awards, you can vote here.
Here’s a video of Keith after he won Best Country Music Artist at the 2009 American Music Awards. He really handles interview questions so well. The media had some good questions for him, too – but it would have helped us (and maybe Keith, too) if each of those reporters had a lapel microphone. But it’s a good interview….. and is there anyone among us who doesn’t love to hear this man talk!
That’ll do it for this morning. I hope you have a good Saturday. I’m not real sure what I’m going to do with mine yet. We have a local Christmas parade – but it’s kind of cold out there, and I do need to grocery shop – before I get sick of left over turkey, and there’s always grocery shopping – but I think I’d like to find something a little more fun than that. I’m sure I’ll come up with something, and I hope all of you do, too!
Talk to you real soon!
