Everybody ready to start making their plans for Country Concert 2010? This fantastic event is held each year in Fort Loramie, Ohio. It used to be a four-day festival, but according to their web site “Due to overwhelming popular demand, Country Concert will be switching to a 3 Day event for 2010 – Thursday, Friday and Saturday.”
I suppose that makes sense. Four days is a long time to be away, especially for those of us who have to work, take time off, and have a few days to make the round-trip drive to the festival. And with a festival like this, it really doesn’t matter if they’re talking about three days or four … it’s still going to be great!
The festival will run July 8, 9 and 10, 2010 – Tickets go on sale on Nov. 23, 2009, and renewals for previous attendees were mailed out on Sept. 28. The only artist they have up on their web page so far is Keith Urban, who will be doing the show on Saturday night. I think that’s a big enough name to grab a lot of attention. I’m sure by the time tickets go on sale, we’ll have a lot more names added to the list of entertainers. Last summer’s four-day event had 22 artists! Visit the web site, and you can see pictures and videos form last year’s festival.
Again this year, there will be camping, and the campers are allowed to stay until 2 p.m. on Sunday. the three-day tickets this year are priced the same as last year’s 3-day tickets. They will have the same number of artists, and there is also a new 2-day ticket available this year.
If you didn’t get there in 2009, here’s just a little bit of what you missed. With eight months to get your vacation plans made, you just might be able to fit Country Concert 2010 on your schedule this year.
Time for me to get out of here for the day. I need to get to the office. You guys have a great Thursday. I’ll talk to you soon. Remember I’m on Twitter and Facebook, too – so be sure to follow Country’s Chatter there.
