KC Nashville Reports are telling us that Kenny Chesney has purchased a house in Franklin, Tenn. Not a house, really – I live in a house. What Kenny purchased is a huge estate. It’s a 30 acre gated estate, and sits in the Grassland area of Franklin. The mansion has 5 bedrooms, 7 full baths and 2 half-baths, and is 16,941 square feet. The price, somewhere around $10 million.

I guess I will never understand why anyone wants an 16,941 square foot house. I can’t keep up with the less than 2,000 square feet I have now. And I honestly think that even if I could afford that much house – I wouldn’t buy one. I’d need a GPS just to find my way to the kitchen.

The property is called Bella Luce, by its developers. That is Italian for “beautiful Light.” (More pictures of the inside and outside of the house are a the Bella Luce link above.)

Kenny has got some time to relax in his new house before heading back on tour. He’s taken a little time off, but according to the tour schedule on his web site, we can look for him starting May 30, 2010, with a concert at LSU’s Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. Then on June 6, for his show during BamaJam. OnJuly 24, he has a show at Churchill Downs, in Kentucky. On July 25, he will be at Country Thunder.

Kenny fans might want to check out his merchandise, available for sale on his site. And if you don’t know for sure what you want, or what to buy someone else, there are gift certificates available, too. I’ve looked through the merchandise, and there’s actually a lot of it that I would like to have. You can look at all of it here.

Time for me to get ready for work. It’s Monday … where, oh where, did the weekend go! Should be answering e-mail later tonight, and should be able to get all of your mail answered then. I’ll talk to you guys real soon!

Later,
Country
