Tim McGraw has written another book for children. The release date of Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010. This book is called Love Your Heart, and was written by Tim and Tom Douglas. The book is about Katie and her dad. Katie has many talents, but she wonders which one of them will win her school’s talent s how.
With the help of her dad and her dog, Palio, she finally chooses one talent that includes the dog. But at the talent show, she decides to drop out of the contest to help a friend. And of course, by doing that, she shows everyone that kindness is the best talent of all.
Katie’s dad is proud of her and tells her that she did the best thing and that he loves many things about her – but he loves her heart most of all.
Back on Oct. 22, 2008, when most of us were starting our Christmas shopping, I put up an article about Tim’s first book. That one was called My Little Girl. He wrote that book for his daughter, and it was about a dad, in a dark cowboy hat, who spends a fund day with his daughter – not really doing anything in particular.
Faith Hill wrote the forward for that book, and said, “I hope this story provides quality time for fathers and daughters to enjoy each other’s company and make memories reading together."
I haven’t heard what Tim had to say about his second book, but after writing My Little Girl, he said that despite the fact he wrote the book in honor of his girls, they’re not exactly enthused. "If it doesn’t have Chris Brown or the Jonas Brothers involved, they don’t care," he said jokingly. Maybe they will be more enthused about the new one.
The next time you’re sitting in Barnes and Noble or Books-A-Million, with your nice cup of coffee and a little time on your hands, you might want to run over to the children’s department, and check out Tim’s books. I think I might do that, too.
Talk to you all later. Have a great Tuesday! I’m caught up with my mail, so drop me a line when you get an extra minute or two. Love hearing form each of you!
