colt cover Colt Ford fans, get ready for a little “Chicken & Biscuits” – Colt’s sophomore studio album, set to release on April 20. And this time, Colt is getting help from James Otto, DMC, Randy Houser, Josh Gracin, Joe Nichols, and others – as he brings us more of what he does best – that country, rap, hip-hop sound.

“I never thought I could make a record like Chicken & Biscuits. I pushed myself so hard in writing and finding the songs for the record, and I was blessed to write with some of the greatest songwriters in the world. To be able to make a second album that I feel is better than the first and still maintain who I am as an artist…wow! That was my goal and I hope the fans agree because I gave it all I have,” Colt said.

His debut album Ride Through the Country has sold an impressive 150,000+ albums and over 450,000 paid song downloads to date.

So, who is the sexiest man in country music? That would probably depend on who you ask. However, if you ask Colt, he will tell you he is. I’m not too sure if he’d get my vote for “sexiest,” but he’d definitely be at the top of my list for “very cool guy.”

The only song I have heard so far is “Chicken & Biscuits.” That’s the one he has James Otto joining him on. Love James Otto. I’m anxious to hear some of the others, like the one with Randy Houser and Josh Gracin. I don’t really know DMC (I’m sure they aren’t country), but with this kind of mix of country and hip-hop artists, I’m sure Colt will have himself another real hit with his fans. (Photos form Nov. 20, 2009, show in Johnson City, TN)

Better get myself moving here. I’ll have more about this new CD up closer to its release date. In the meantime – check out Colt’s web site, follow him on Twitter – and I’ll talk to you all real soon!
