I’ve been to several concerts that were held at lakes. But the show was on the shore, and the people were sitting on the banks of the lake, and some came up in boats and got close enough to hear. I have not, however, gone to any concerts that were only reachable by my getting into a boat and heading out to the entertainment. And from that, anyone who knows anything about AquaPalooza knows that I have never been there. But I sure would like to. I’ll just have to add that one to my ever-growing ‘bucket list.”
AquaPalooza 2010 will be held at The Reserve in Austin, Texas, on July 10, 2010. AquaPalooza organizers confirmed country music megastar Brad Paisley will be headlining the floating concert festival at Lake Travis on July 10. Brad will be performing in front of a crowd of thousands of concert-goers on boats.
This seems like the perfect event for Brad, since his new single "Water" and a new tour called the H2O World Tour , organizers said it makes sense that Paisley should headline this year’s AquaPalooza.
This is a free event where your boat is your ticket, organizers said there will be no land access to AquaPalooza. Organizers recently changed the date of the upcoming Lake Travis from the end of the month to July 4 through July 10. Past locations for the event across the U.S. have included major names like Alan Jackson and Taylor Swift.
The concert event date on July 10 is set to run from noon to 7:30 p.m. at The Reserve at Lake Travis , which is between Point Venture and Briarcliff. Several area chambers of commerce are partnering with organizers to sell $40 wristbands online for associated events throughout that week, including cover charges and discounts at many local businesses.
Brad’s H2O tour will hit Virginia Beach on May 21, Washington, D.C. on May 22, and then head over to Kansas City, Mo. on May 29. Toledo, Ohio will have the show on June 4, and Indianapolis, Ind., on June 5. You can check out all the dates through Sept. 25, 2010, at Brad’s web site.
It’s Monday, I better get ready to start my new work week. Hope all of you have a great Monday, too!
Talk to you later!
