I’m ready for another country music television special. And if you are, too – here’s the one you won’t want to mss! It’s the ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn – The last Rodeo, an ACM All-Star tribute to Brooks & Dunn. The show was recorded in Las Vegas, shortly after the ACM Awards were telecast live from that city. The show airs Sunday, May 23, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
Being in Las Vegas, and still having all of our favorites in town from the ACM’s, this show will include Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will receive the Academy of Country Music’s Milestone Award, in recognition of their 20 year career, during the concert. They are also being honored for holding a record=setting 27 ACM awards, more than any other artist.
There’s a really impressive list of presenters, too – including Dr. Maya Angelou, Miranda Cosgrove and Matthew McConaughey. Ticket proceeds from the live event were given to ACM Lifting Lives, and will be used to aid those affected by the recent flooding in middle Tennessee.
The guys are still touring, for the moment, and will be part of Country Concert 2010 in Fort Loramie, Ohio, in July. They will be in Knoxville on Wednesday, May 26, to dedicate a house to a needy family. This is the first “Brooks & Dunn” house in the “Music Row” houses, made possible by the Charlie and Moll Anderson Family Foundation. The foundation is teaming up with artists and Knoxville Habitat for Humanity to build homes.
It’s Saturday! Let’s get out and do something fun!
