Thanks so much to everyone who entered the recent contest to win one of Colt Ford’s newest CD, Chicken & Biscuits. Colt really has a lot of fans out there. Whenever we have a contest offering Colt’s CD’s or any of Colt’s gear, we always get a lot of entries.
The winners this time are Barbara M., Cordele, GA; Bo W., Frederick, Ind.; and Michael B., Kingsport, Tenn. Congratulations! You have each won one of Colt’s Chicken & Biscuits CDs, and it will be mailed to you soon.
I wanted to make a little announcement about Nashville’s Red Cross, too. A lot of you know that since the flooding in Nashville, I decided that I would donate 10 cents to the Nashville Area Red Cross for each new Twitter follower I got through May 7, 2010. Well, when I didn’t get as many as I had hoped for, I extended that until May 15, 2010.
I still didn’t get as many as I would have liked. If I sent a donation to the Red Cross based on that amount of new followers, I would be sending less than $20.00. So, I just wanted to tell you all that I have decided to donate considerable more than that to the Nashville Area Red Cross, and I do want to thank those of you who are now following me on Twitter, and all of you who spread the word about what I was doing.
Fans, friends and musicians alike continue to donate money for victims of the Nashville flood. So much of the area needs to be cleaned up and rebuilt. GAC was right on top of it last night with its Music City Keep On Playin’ benefit for flood relief. The live show was broadcast on GAC, with performances by Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Sheryl Crow, Kellie Pickler and others.
I need to get ready for work. Again, congratulations to my Colt Ford winners; thanks so much to all my Twitter followers for following and for spreading the word about my fundraising efforts; and thanks to everyone for reading Country’s Chatter! Write when you have time, it’s always great hearing from you!
