It was just nine months ago that I saw Lady Antebellum take the stage at the Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn. They had a sold out crowd, and put on one of the best shows I have ever seen on a fair stage. After I saw that, I put up an article that I titled “Lady Antebellum proves opening acts really can be great headliners.” You can read that article here.
Lady A recently announced that they will be taking off on a 35-city headlining tour beginning Sept. 20. The Need You Now 1020 Tour will feature one of my favorites, David Nail, as the special guest. They are supposed to be getting the dates for this tour up on t heir website today, so keep an eye out for that.
Hillary, Dave and Charles have been breaking records since their debut album was released in 2008. They continue to break records with their “Need You Now” CD, which has sold more than 2 million copies Like most country music fans, I love to just sit and listen to Lady A’s music. Seeing them live, is definitely a whole other experience.
There are a lot of shows listed on Lady A’s site right now, You’ll find them all over the country between now and September. And I’m sure with the 35 new dates coming up later today, they are bound to get somewhere near you. Any Lady A fans who have not have the pleasure of seeing these guys perform live, I hope you’ll plan to take in one of their upcoming shows. I’ve seen them twice, and I will definitely be planning to see them again any chance I have.
I can’t think of anything more exciting than a Lady A concert … except may be putting David Nail in that opening spot. He’s one I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing live as of yet – but he’s on my list. When David released his debut CD last August, I did a little article on him, and the CD, that you can read by clicking here.
Time to start a very busy work week. Hope you will all drop me a line when you have a chance. And remember, when you head out to concerts, meet & greets, fairs, or anywhere else you just happen to meet up with one of your favorite country artists, I love pictures. so I hope you will e-mail me your best shots!
