Here’s another great benefit concert, for any of you who are planning to be in Nashville June 9. Look at this fantastic group of entertainers! Ty Herndon, Wade Hayes, Anta Cochran, Julie Roberts, Diana Degarmo, Michael Peterson, Amber Hayes and Daniel Kirkley. And tickets are just $20 inn advance, and $25 at the door.
There are a lot of artists in that group that I’ve seen before, and would like to see again. Diana Degarmo was at Dollywood a few years ago, when I went for the opening of the Porter Wagoner exhibit at Dollywood. She was so friendly, and just a real pleasure to be around.
Anita Cochran I met briefly when she was playing guitar in Terri Clark’s band. Terri was performing at the Appalachian Fair, and Anita, who is a fantastic musician, was part of the band. That was a real treat for everyone in the audience.
Wade Hayes has one of my top 10 favorite country songs of all times – “What I mean to Say.” I don’t know why, but I just love that little song.
Proceeds from the Ty Herndon & Friends benefit show will go to the Make A Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Tickets can be ordered at www.tybenefit.eventbrite.com, and you can get more information at www.nashvillepalace.net.
And here’s Wade … Just love this song.
There’s another concert I would love to go to, unfortunately, I can’t make them all. This afternoon, however, I will be heading to Gray, Tenn., where Joe Nichols will be doing a show at The Battle of the Pigs (barbecue contest and car show). I will definitely have something up about that tomorrow morning. If all works as planned, I also have an interview scheduled with Joe before the show.
I will talk to you guys later. Enjoy your Saturday. Have a great Memorial Day weekend, and if your weather is being predicted like ours is — try to keep dry.
