As the inaugural Country Throwdown Tour continues its trek across the U.S., there’s no doubt the roster’s country celebs are out on the road kickin’ back, cuttin’ loose and getting the change to make music together like never before.
“It’s such a cool experience to be able to hang out with my friends on the bus by day and hop on stage with them to perform by night,” said Curb recording artist Heidi Newfield of her on-stage jam session with Jack Ingram last weekend in Bristow, VA.
“Jack’s such a cool guy… not to mention a phenomenal musician. I was honored to have the opportunity to sing along with him as he tore up the guitar,” added Heidi.
Heidi performs her leg of the tour at 3:55 p.m. from the Outlaws Stage. To see if the Country Throwdown Tour will be passing through your city, check out their web site.
I’ve seen Heidi and Jack each a few times, but never on stage together. I can only imagine that would be a great jam session. I met Heidi briefly when she was at our Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn., two years ago.
Jack I’ve seen several times, and got to spend a bit of time with him both at the fair in Gray, and in Kingsport, Tenn., last year. He’s very nice, and he even sends his own Tweets. I’ve always got an eye on his schedule. He’s one performer I do not want to miss when he gets back in this area.
If any of you haven’t ever seen Heidi or Jack, I hope you will soon. They are both really talented, and fun to watch.
I need to get moving. You guys have a great Friday … Wow, it’s Friday! Looking forward to the weekend!
