Kingsport’ Tennessee’s FunFest is well underway – and tonight, Thursday, July 22, we’ve got Jason Michael Carroll, Edens Edge and Love and Theft live on stage at J. Fred Johnson Stadium. I’ll be there with camera in hand, and hope to see a lot of you there as well.
This is the first time for me and Love and Theft, a group I’ve liked since I first heard them. Eden’s Edge I didn’t really know at all, but since hearing they would be part of this year’s Thursday night line-up, I went to their web site. I think you’re all going to like these three.
The trio is made up of Hannah Blaylock, lead vocalist; Dean Berner, harmony vocals, guitar and dobro; and Cherrill Green, harmony vocals, mandolin, banjo and guitar. They sing country and bluegrass. They grew up in Arkensas, and have opened for country artists such as Ronnie Milsap and Randy Travis.
Love and Theft – what can I say. “Dancing In Circles” is one of my very favorite songs, and I love that I’m going to get to go to the show tonight to see them perform this great song live. Anyone who has been listening to this group for a while knows members Brian Bandas, Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles are very good at what they do.
FunFest continues through July 24, and that is the night for Zac Brown Band to take the stage! The concert is sold out, but don’t let that keep you from Kingsport! There’s so much to do at this annual celebration. Be sure to visit the web site for all the events on their schedule.
Get ready for a fun weekend – that begins tonight. I’ll talk to you guys real soon. Have a fantastic Thursday!
