Kenny Chesney will be releasing his new CD on Sept. 28, 2010. The album is called ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey’, and the first single to come off that album will be “The Boys of Fall.” I’m a college football fan, and I’m definitely ready for some football. And, I have to admit, I’m ready for this new Kenny song, too.
I believe most of Kenny’s fans know that he’s a football fan – a friend of Peyton Manning, a Tennessee Vols fan, and a bit of an athlete himself. I had an article here back in April about Kenny’s very short-lived football career, and his one-day contract with the New Orleans Saints. (Yep, that’s Kenny on the right – wearing Jersey # 7.
Here’s what Kenny said about that experience — Kenny said he got a 1-day contract with the Saints that came complete with a press conference, and a lot of media attention. Kenny did get to run around in a helmet, and shirt with his name on the back while he caught a few passes on the field. You can read the April article here.
Here’s the song – let me know what you Kenny fans think of it. Is it a good choice for a single?
While he still isn’t doing the amount of touring that his fans have been used to in the past, there are a few shows up on Kenny’s web site – And tickets are on sale now for all of them. So you might want to hop on over and check out the schedule.
I have to get going – Talk to you all soon! Thanks for all the e-mail. I plan on answering most of it tonight. Have a great day!
