I’m getting very excited about our Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn. The fair starts on Monday, Aug. 23. I’m definitely ready for it. I go to the fair every night, enjoy the shows, take a lot of pictures and bring them home to post here for all of you. And sometimes I eat Fair food that isn’t all that good for me (but tastes good), and sometimes I dodge raindrops (with the rest of the fair-goers), but I can say for sure, it’s always a great week!
This year, I’ll be seeing David Nail on Thursday, Aug. 26. I reviewed his first album, I love his music, and while I think “Red Light” is a great song, “Strangers on a Train” is probably my favorite David Nail song.
GAC recently had an article about David’s visit with Clayton Morris and Alisyn Camerota, on Fox & Friends in New York City, where he performed “Red Light” and “Turning Home”. (Photo courtesy of Fox News Channel.) If you missed David’s performance on Fox & Friends, you can watch it here.
I know David is coming here, but I wanted to check his schedule and find out where else he is going to be. David will be back in this area on Sept. 4, to do the Russell County Fair in Castlewood, Va., he will also be in Harrisburg, Pa., on Aug. 24, and Charleston, S.C. on Aug. 25. He will be in Newton, N.C. on Sept. 3, so while we have him in this area for several shows, he will be busy in Ohio, New York, Arkansas and Florida as well, so be sure to check out the schedule.
I’m about to start another busy day. I’ll talk to all of you real soon!
