The last time I saw Alan Jackson, he had Andy Griggs and Shane Minor opening for him. That was in Knoxville, and that was a very long time ago. Now Alan is getting ready for a Fall Tour, which will include two of my favorites – Chris Young (who I will be seeing on Wednesday night, Sept. 15), and The Band Perry (who I saw a few weeks ago).
This is going to be a great tour, and I know all of Alan’s fans are going to be very happy with the acts he has opening for him. Will the show be coming anywhere near you? You can find out by checking the schedule on Alan’s web site.
The tour will officially begin on Nov. 4, with a show in Sacramento, Calif., and move a little to the south for a Nov. 4 show in Los Angeles. Las Vegas will be the next stop on the tour, with that show on Nov. 6. They will have a few days off before setting up in Hidalgo, Texas on Nov. 11, and Cedar Park, Texas on Nov. 12.
I know these all of these entertainers are going to work well together. I don’t have anything but great things to say about each and every one of them. Alan Jackson is one of the most humble, down-to-earth entertainers you could eve hope to meet. He’s a huge talent, with an incredible career, and he just hasn’t let any of that change him at all.
The Band Perry, who I just met a few weeks ago, are very, very nice to their fans, to the radio people who came to interview them, and to everyone who was at their show. They are so talented, and really hard working – they know how to entertain a crowd. People who never saw them in concert are going to be very happy they went to one of the shows on Alan’s Fall Tour.
I can’t find enough great things to say about Chris Young. Every time I’ve seen him, his show was the kind of thing you talked about for weeks. And Chris never changes from being a super sweet person, who obviously loves the opportunities he gets to spend a few minutes talking to his fans after the shows. I am really looking forward to seeing Chris next week in Abingdon, Va. (Wave at me, Chris … I’ve got a front row seat).
With fairs winding down for 2010, it’s time for Fall and Winter Tours to get started, so I’m sure we’ll have a lot of news and pictures coming about all of those.
I hope you all have a good Sunday,k I’ll be answering e-mail this afternoon – so if I owe any of you a note, you can look for it then. Thanks for writing! I’ll talk to you all soon!
