Most of you know that I recently took a trip to Pennsylvania. It was to attend my high school reunion, visit family members, and generally take a few days off from what has been an extremely busy time for me lately. What I didn’t know, is that during this trip I would get to see my first-ever “built by Ty Pennington and his crew” house.
I don’t know the whole story. But I do know that the main characters in this episode are from Hamburg, Pa. The husband died at a very young age of a heart attack, and his wife gave birth to their first child, a daughter, just a few hours after her husband died. I’m sure there is a lot more to the story than this, and I’m anxious to see the show when it airs on ABC next month..
I have always loved this show. The stories are interesting, the people they help are so very appreciative – and I love the people who help out – I don’t just mean the design team, and the builders. there are always local companies, and local individuals who end up playing a very important role in bringing everything together for the families.
Leigh Ann Touhy and Christie Brinkley will be part of this episode. The show will air Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at 8 p.m. (ET). In the meantime, here are a few more pictures of the house in Hamburg.
I’ll be back soon – with show pictures from our Abingdon, Va., fair – and more country music news. Don’t forget to get your entry in for the contests that end on Sept. 27.
