The Band Perry, who reside in Greeneville, will hold an album release party on Sunday, October 10 at 2:00 pm in Greeneville! The free event will be held at the Greene County Partnership/Chamber of Commerce Building, 115 Academy Street, in historic downtown Greeneville, TN.
The trio – Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry – will sign copies of their self-titled new album on Republic Nashville, THE BAND PERRY, available for advance purchase at the event. And expect to hear TBP perform a few songs live, as well!
The Band Perry signed with Republic Nashville in the summer of 2009. In April 2010, their five-song EP was released at the same time that their first single, “Hip To My Heart” broke the Top Twenty at Country Radio.
The band’s second single, “If I Die Young” went to radio as their touring schedule brought them from one end of the country to another, opening shows for such artists as Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn and Zac Brown Band. Since then, The Band Perry has earned a CMA nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, maintained digital single sales of 40K units a week and sold in excess of 500,000 total units, qualifying them for a Gold Certification from RIAA.
They’ve announced tour dates with Alan Jackson this Fall. Written by the band, “If I Die Young” has an inspirational message of appreciating the time one is given – the band has received volumes of letters, emails and you tube testimonials from fans from 7 to 70 about how the song helped them reflect on their life in a positive way or heal them from the loss of a loved one.
Check out their web site for their tour schedule, and I’ll see you in Greeneville on Sunday!
