KateKaceyCoppola I head that Kate and Kacey were getting a new album out soon. I was excited – so I ‘googled’ it. And what I found out was that the girls over at Country Music Tattle Tale do have an album review, sent in by one of their contributors. The new CD is called “Crossroad.”

It’s a good review, which doesn’t surprise me. I’ve liked the Kate and Kacey since I first saw them on “Can You Duet” a few years ago. I’ve been following their career, at least to the point of keeping up with them on Twitter, and checking out their MySpace page now and then.

K&K So, I was aware that back in March, the girls left their record label, Big Machine Records, because the label wasn’t working as fast as they wanted to in releasing their music.

At that time, they made the following statement: “It happened a little while back, and it’s one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through. They weren’t wanting to put out new music quite as fast as we were hoping, and for that and other reasons, we decided to move on.” {Source}

So I read the whole article over at CMTT and did not find the one piece of information I was looking for. WHO are Kate and Kacey recording for? I visited their web site, and their MySpace page. And I even ‘googled’ their album name to see where I might be able to buy one – and still, I can’t find a label for these girls. The CMTT article did tell us that no release date has been set for this CD yet, but the songs will soon be available at iTunes.

Kate Wed Under “News” on their web site, the most recent posting was Dec. 8, 2009, where we learned about Kate’s wedding. Just a reminder to those of you who may have forgotten, Kate Coppola and Billy Leiva were married on Sept. 26, 2009, at her parent’s Denver, Colo., home.

Kacey Wed And, since I just did that, I can’t go on here without also mentioned Kacey Coppola’s wedding on Aug. 7, 2010, to Rossi Morreale. They were married at Grande Antiqua Resort and Spa. They had a barefoot wedding on the beach.

The first single from this new CD is “Gypsy Soul (You Again)”, and this one you can hear on their MySpace, along with some of their other music. The CMTT article didn’t say when this single was released to radio, but I’m assuming it has been, since the writer suggested we start calling our favorite radio station to request it.

Kate & Kacey, let me hear from you two. Who are you recording for? And how about a few show dates, since there was nothing listed under “Tours” on your web site. We’ve seen a lot of good talent come from television shows, and I think Kate & Kacey are definitely good talent!

That’ll do it for this morning. I’ll talk to you soon!
