Joe Nichols 108 I love the Paramount in Bristol, Tenn. It’s one of the few places you can go and see a concert … I mean see a concert with an audience of 500 or less. And in most cases, it really isn’t a concert – at least not one with a bunch of amp, drums, and people running around on the stage singing.

When you go to the Paramount, what you are usually getting is an acoustic performance, sometimes with the help of an extra guitar or two. And it’s always awesome.

And that is exactly what we got this past Thursday night, when WXBQ and Plastic Surgery Specialists of Abingdon, Va., brought Joe Nichols in to do a little show for 250 lucky people and their guests. Thanks to the WXBQ 24 Carrot Club, I was one of the winners in that audience. And I got to see Joe’s performance.

Joe Nichols 109 Those of you who ready Country’s Chatter regularly probably know that I’ve seen him before, I met him before, and I don’t have anything but great things to say about this very talented artist.

Can I say much about Joe Nichols? Not really – not any more than I’ve already said in previous articles. He has some great songs, he’s a fantastic entertainer, and he’s fun. I mean he’s really fun. Especially in this kind of setting. It’s a place where the entertainer can hear everything we say from the audience – and, when he heard something, he was usually pretty quick to respond with some kind of hilarious comment.  And of course, he always makes the time for his fans.

It was a great evening. So, let me just say thank you to the folks at The Paramount, to WXBQ radio, and to Plastic Surgery Specialists of Abingdon, Va., for bringing Joe in to entertain us.

Now – here are some pictures form Thursday nights show.

There’s Joe. And that will do it for this morning. I hope to have an article up tomorrow about my ride on The Santa Train with Wynonna and Naomi Judd. that 110-mile run was yesterday. And it was great, even though I had to get out of bed at 4 am. to join the rest of the folks headed for the train. I don’t do 4 a.m. very well.

You guys have a good Sunday. I’ll talk to you soon!
