Lady Antebellum recently returned to Augusta, Ga., where in addition to receiving the Key to the City, the trio also had a street named for them. Lady Angtebllum Way.
I live in a little town. And once you get past Main Street, and Elm Street, and street names that you will find in every small town across the country, the rest of the streets are named after people, or by people. A lady who lives on what is now Hummingbird Lane, got to name it because of her interest in feeding hummingbirds. And she definitely gets a flock of them every year. Johnson Road, and Honeycutt Road, and Gouge Road, were named by people who live on their streets – usually the first family to build on a street got to name it.
But we don’t have any really famous people here who got not only their own street, but their own street sign to take with them when they leave.
Thanks to Urban Country Blog, here are some photos from Lady Antebellum’s return to Augusta.
Talk to you guys soon – not sure when. Leaving for the Santa Train this afternoon. I’ll be back from that on Saturday evening. I also need to tell you all about Joe Nichols at the Paramount in Bristol, Tenn., last night. And of course, I have pictures! Really great show.
Hope you have a great weekend! I’ll talk to you soon!
