Randy Houser wants to know what you are doing to make someone else’s holiday brighter this season! Update your Facebook status or write on Randy’s wall with videos, photos, and stories about your favorite organizations and charitable experiences. Just remember to tag @Randy Houser!
If you are not already involved in a particular charity, look no further! Here are a few of the organizations that Randy supports:
Make a Wish Foundation:
The Make a Wish Foundation enriches the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Volunteer or donate your time or talents.
St. Jude Children’s Hospital:
Did you know that St Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance? The daily operating cost for St. Jude is approximately $1.5 million, which is primarily covered by contributions from people like you.
Victory Junction enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and safe. There are plenty of volunteer and donation opportunities.
The USO lifts the spirits of America’s troops and their families. They rely on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities.
Now get out there and help brighten someone’s holiday!
Whatever your favorite charity is, I hope you are doing all you can to help them out this holiday season. As for me, I’m kind of partial to the Salvation Army, and their Angel Trees. And of course, our church does a lot with Christmas box donations, which are food boxes distributed by our local Care and Share organization. There’s a lot we can do to help others.
Today is a tree lighting event at the log cabin in the town of Unicoi. So I’ll be heading out there later this afternoon and evening. I hope you have a great Saturday, and a fantastic weekend! Tonight when I get home I”ll be answering e-mail. So this is my time to get back to all of you who have written lately.
Talk to you all soon!
