CS 1I finally got to see ‘the movie ‘Country Strong.’ Just this past weekend, in fact. We’ve had so much snow around here, and life was just really hectic. When the movie was released on Jan. 7, 2011, I just didn’t get there. But after seeing it, and hearing all that great music, all I can say is that I’m glad I went!

CS 4I had heard the soundtrack earlier, so I was familiar with the song “Coming Home.” It’s a great song, that is sung in the movie by both Gwyneth Paltrow and Leighton Meester. Gwyneth sings it on the sound track, and it is my favorite song from the movie. I like it even better than the ‘good, but over-played’ theme song.

“Coming Home”, written by Tom Douglas, Troy Verges and Hillary Lindsey, was nominated for an Oscar  in the category for Best Original Song.

If there are still some other country music fans who haven’t seen the picture, I highly recommend it. But I’m not going to tell you anything about it. If you’ve seen the trailers and some of the promo stuff, you have an idea what it’s about. And it is definitely worth seeing.

The pictures on this page are from the Country Strong Facebook page. You can see a lot of pictures from the movie by clicking here.

I can’t stop this without letting you see a picture of each of the movies male leads, Tim McGraw and Garrett Hedlund.

The Oscars will be telecast live on ABC, on Sunday night, February 27. It’s usually a very long show, but I always try to watch. I’d like to see this song win the Oscar. And some year, I’d like to see Tim McGraw nominated for one of these awards. He’s really turning into a pretty good actor.

You guys enjoy your day. And drop me a note sometime when you have a minute.

I’ll talk to you real soon!
