With a movie coming out on Jan. 7, a Top 5 song on the radio, and come to think of it – no song that has ever not been a hit — Tim McGraw is getting ready for a Spring 2011 tour. And, he’s taking some of my favorite people along!
Nothing against Tim McGraw (who I absolutely love), but to be honest with you — I would be a ticket to this tour even if it were just The Band Perry and Luke Bryan performing! What an awesome tour this is going to be! Can you imagine Tim, and The Band Perry, and Luke Bryan all on the same bill!
There are a few dates up on Tim’s web site, and I’m sure they will be adding a lot more dates to that. I just hope they plan on coming somewhere close to me (at least within a days drive).
I saw Luke a while back at the Haywood County Fair in Waynesville, N.C. This kid definitely knows how to put on a show. He owns the stage, and the audience obviously likes what they are seeing! Luke takes time with his fans, both at the meet & greet before the show, and during the show from the stage, he lets them know he appreciates the fact that they are there. [Article about Luke at Haywood County Fair is here.)
I saw The Band Perry in Gray, Tenn., this past August. And again in their hometown of Greeneville, Tenn. [The article from the Gray show can be found here.) These kids are not only talented, they are genuinely nice people! They are just a joy to be around, and it was great meeting them and getting to talk to them at both of the events. I think these three have even more success coming their way in the future.
So, if I get to go to this concert – I’ll get to see two of my favorite country acts for a second or third time. AND, one of my favorite country acts that I’ve never had an opportunity to see before. So Tim McGraw being part of his own tour will be like the icing on the cake for me!
Check Tim’s web site for dates for this tour. I’m sure they will be adding more as soon as they know. You can follow all of these guys on Twitter, too. You can follow Tim on Twitter @TheTimMcGraw; The Band Perry is @thebandperry; and Luke Bryan is @LukeBryanOnline. You can follow the kids separately, too, if you’d like. @kimberlyperry; @neilperryiii; and @reidperry.
I’m looking forward to finding out more about this great tour! I do believe this is the firs tone on my 2011 list of “tours I really want to see.”
I’ll talk to you all soon. The holidays are officially over for me now (I’ve been off work a while), and it’s back to the office for a full work week! More later!
