One of my favorite songs on the radio right now is “This is Country Music,” by Brad Paisley. It’s somewhere around the No. 5 spot on the charts, and I have no doubt it will continue climbing all the way up to No. 1. That’s a position Brad has been in before, with many of his singles quickly making their way to the top of the chart, most recently with “If He’s Anything Like Me.”
Brad has announced that the album, which bears the same name as the current single, will be released on May 24. And, you can pre-order on his web site by clicking here.
In addition to announcing the release date, the cover art (center, below) for the album has also been released. This is Brad Paisley, the way any of us who have seen him in concert expect to see him. There’s that white cowboy hat. It’s been a part of Brad’s wardrobe for a very long time.
I really like this cover photo. It’s not a fancy or creative design. And I’m not it’s even a really pretty cover – but for the simple art that it is, I think it says everything it needs to say about this new album. It definitely says to me, “get out there and order this thing!”
I saw Brad at the Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn., Aug. 19, 2003, and at Rogersville City Park for the Independence Day Celebration at least five years ago. I haven’t seen Brad since – I really need to pay attention to his tour schedule, and find out when I can change that. As good as he was back when I saw him perform, I am sure he puts on an even better show now.
Brad is going to be in Nashville on F3b. 26, at the Bridgestone Arena – one stop on his H2) Frozen Over Tour. He’s going to be in Hershey, Pa., on Feb. 17; Roanoke, Va., on Feb. 18; and Louisville, Ky, on Feb. 19. I don’t think there is anyone who would say this is not a hard working young man. You can check out all the dates on Brad’s web site.
This is brad’s first new all-studio album since “American Saturday Night, in 2009. When you pre-order the new album, you will also get a free download for the single, “This is Country Music.”
I’m heading out to start my Wednesday. I hope you all have a good day. I know I have a lot of e-mail here to answer from you guys, and I’ll do my best to get to that this evening.
Take care! and ‘Think Green’ — I saw a flock of robins in my front yard this past Saturday! I’m definitely ready for them. I can only hope this means winter is behind us..
