I got the following press release a little earlier this week, but haven’t had a chance to get it posted until now. The event is taking place in San Diego, Calif., today – and I thought you would all enjoy reading about it.
Let me remind you about Jeremy. I did an article about him early in February. I like his music, and I really like his song “This Town Needs a Bar.” If you missed that article, you can read it by clicking here. The video for “This Town Needs a Bar” is also included in that post.
Now, here’s the press release about Jeremy’s involvement with Wounded Warrior Project.
McComb has been a long time supporter of our service men and women. For many years he has been lending his St Christopher pendant to soldiers who are on active duty. He presents it to them saying “This has always kept me safe. I want you to take it and wear it so it can keep you safe.” He has presented this pendent to five different soldiers and each time, it returns back home safely. More importantly, the soldier comes back home safely as well.
“I’m honored to be riding in the Soldier Ride this weekend in San Diego. I participated in the one in Nashville last year and I had a blast. I’m looking forward to riding with them and then the concert afterward,” says McComb.
Jeremy McComb is currently working on new music and has an “accidental” single playing at country radio right now, “Five To Midnight.” McComb sent the recording out himself to some of his friends in radio just to get some feedback from them. To his surprise, those stations put the song into rotation.
It’s Friday morning, I’m rushing (like always). But I’ll talk to you all soon. I do have a little mail to get answered this evening, so if I owe you a note, you’ll probably get one this evening.
Have a great Friday!
