City of Hope benefit 150On March 1, 2011, I had the pleasure of seeing Josh Thompson perform as part of Country Music is Love’s benefit show for City of Hope. Josh is a great singer, and I really enjoyed seeing him at the show. If you missed the article I did about that show, you can check it out by clicking here. There are a lot of pictures there, too.

This was a great benefit, with a lot of artists on stage to entertain us – two of them were Josh Thompson and one of his long-time friend Chris Cavanaugh.  I wasn’t familiar with Chris, but was told he is a singer and songwriter in Nashville. And one more thing about Chris, after his performance, he just hung out in the crowd with the rest of us and watched the show. I like that in an artist. I like them to be comfortable enough not only to stay and watch the show, but to watch it from the same vantage point as the rest of the audience.

City of Hope benefit 016I recently read that Josh is producing an album for Chris, and wanted to share that with you. Chris has been performing for a while now, and in addition to doing his own shows, he has opened for Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Pat Green, and the Randy Rogers Band and Justin Moore.

Josh is currently touring with Dierks Bentley, and has a lot of dates up on his web site. If you want to know if he’s coming somewhere hear you, just click here.

Chris also has dates on his web site for upcoming shows. And, he has a lot of music there for you to listen to. I hope you will all visit his web site, learn more about him, and let me know what you think.

It’s Monday morning, I have to get ready for work. I hope all of you have a fantastic Monday. If you’re like me, you’re still looking for that hour sleep we all lost on Sunday. I will talk to you all soon.

Later,
CountryNote
